The Kings Aces  Magazine:
First off thank you for taking time out to chat with us over at the kings aces.

A.ivy The Dame:
Its my pleasure, I thank you for having me!!

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
So let the people know your name, what you do and where you're from.

A.ivy The Dame:
I'm A.ivy The Dame, first lady of DreamLand Muzik LLC. I'm Indiana made, Colorado raised. I'm a creator and an artist of many capacities.

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
When was it that you first realized you wanted to do this profession? What do you prefer to be defined as a Rapper Or jus a Artist? What you think bout these new age mumble artists and these days of women in hiphop?

A.ivy The Dame:
I knew early on that I'd be doing all that I'm doing. I'd say that I am much more than a rapper. I am definitely an artist and ultimately an entertainer!! Not only do I rap... I also sing, I write, I dance, I act, I'm a comedian I do a bit of modeling. I'm multi faceted. To be honest with you, I love the energy of the new music. Sometimes we judge art trip harshly... Instead of appreciating the differences we all possess. I love where we are headed with women in hip hop. I think women are killing it right now and I am proud!!

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
How long have you been doing this?

A.ivy The Dame:
I wrote my first song when I was 4 years old. I recorded my first song at 15.

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
Who are your influences?

A.ivy The Dame:
I was influenced by the female pioneers in rap... Latifah, YoYo, Salt N' Pepa, Lyte and especially Da Brat.

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
What made you want to get into the business?

A.ivy The Dame:
The business part came after I was done dirty in business. I started to learn more so that I wouldn't just be out here pursuing my purpose without protecting first.

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
What are you thinking about when working on a beat or developing a album?

A.ivy The Dame:
When I am creating, I don't listen to other hip hop artists. I don't want to soak up anybody else's sauce. My concept usually comes from where I am in life.

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
Tell us what do you think listeners will get out of your music?

A.ivy The Dame:
I think and I would hope that listeners feel a sense of confidence and empowerment when listening to my music. Its fun but its still lyrical. Its truthful and various. I like to create a whole experience... I want people to feel like "what the hell did I just listen to?!" (LOL).

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
What is the most difficult thing you had to endure in life?

A.ivy The Dame:
The most difficult thing I have endured in life is losing my mother. I've survived a lot of trauma... But losing her was unimaginable devastation for me.

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
What is the most difficult thing you had to endure in the music industry?

A.ivy The Dame:
Rejection!! I got a thousand "NO's" before the YES came. The industry is brutal... It taught me that I'd rather stay Indy.

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
How does it feel to  finally getting your break?

A.ivy The Dame:
Its an awesome feeling to get a "break"!! I feel like all my hard work is finally paying off!!

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
What do you hope to do with your music?

A.ivy The Dame:
I hope to heal people... I hope to inspire people... I hope to be the voice for someone that has been silenced. I hope to make people dance and feel good about themselves no matter their life circumstances.

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
If there was one thing about your career that you would change right now, what would that be?

A.ivy The Dame:
I would change anything. I feel like each rise and each fall has a divine purpose on my career and in my life!! I am doing what I love!!

The Kings Aces  Magazine:
When everything is all said and done, what would you like your fans to say about you and what you brought to the table?

A.ivy The Dame:
I would love for my fans to say I brought charisma, sex appeal, innovation, style, truth and bars to the table!!
