The Kings Aces Magazine:
First off thank you for taking time out to chat with us over at the kings aces.Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in this career?

C.Marie:
Hi My name is C.Marie and I have aspired to be a model since I was 8 years old. I remember my first fashion show my mother who had done fashion shows previously helped me practice my runway walk.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
How did you get started in Modeling?

C.Marie:
Rainbow clothing store had just opened up in Milwaukee and I was chosen to be one of their models. With very little experience and being the shy individual I am my family was worried that I was going to run off the stage. As soon as I hit the stage I turned into someone totally different. From then on I knew runway and modeling was my thing it just came to me naturally. When I became an adult around age 22 I ran into some modeling scouts at the mall and I joined their agency where I was trained with other aspiring models. I had a good and bad experience going through the agency. It was very costly and I felt as though once the program was over I was not directed or helped the way I should have been which is the reason I chose to be a freelance model. What I really would like to do is continue runway, but my height is sometimes a barrier for runway. Therefore I have been practicing more on my print work which I am doing very well in compared to where I started. You would think taking pictures is easy but its really work to make sure your facial expressions is capturing the image the photographer is trying to portray.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field?

C.Marie:
My ultimate goal is to own my own agency where I can help train young women and build their self esteem.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
Do you have any limitations? E.g.(Nudity, lingerie, business attire)Would you model any kind of clothing at all?

C.Marie:
At first I had limitations but lately I have been open to all aspects of modeling including nudity but very tasteful nudity. I like to tell a story when I am taking pictures.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
What are modeling  measurement?

C.Marie:
Measurements are 27 waist 35 hips 34 bust.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
What Can a person tell from looking at a picture of you?

C.Marie:
By looking at my pictures people can usually tell I am a fun, interesting person and a great person to work with.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
Who are some of your favorite models?

C.Marie:
Some of my favorite models is Twiggy, Marilyn Monroe, Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, few more models I dont know their names but I like the very old school classic look model and also models who have not the "norm" beauty.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
Which fashion magazines, websites, blogs,  do you find yourself on the most?

C.Marie:
Whats funny is that I dont research a lot on modeling it comes naturally for me I put a lot of work into my own modeling career I used to watch Top Model alot or if I am looking for some new runway ideas Ill youtube it.The magazines I do like to look at tho are very high fashion magazines like GQ, Cosmo, Essence, Metro, etc.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
How would you describe your style?

C.Marie:
My style is very different I always try to look the complete opposite of someone else. I may have the same pieces of another individual but Ill wear it completely different and I DO NOT like to spend a lot of money on clothing. Something someone may see on the rack may say thats ugly and Ill pick it up and can see how I can make it beautiful.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
What advice do you have for other aspiring models?

C.Marie:
My advice to aspiring models is never give up if this is something you really want to do but modeling is a very competitive industry so you have to have a strong backbone and DO NOT expect to become a supermodel over night.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
How do you prepare yourself  for a modeling shoot how do you get in your zone?

C.Marie:
I usually dont prepare myself before a shoot or show I just make sure I am their enough time for hair and makeup if needed.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
How would you describe working with a photographer, Are you shy? what is your mind frame?

C.Marie:
When working with a photographer I try to read them based on their actions if they are outspoken I will be outspoken with them if more laid back I wont converse too much. I am very camera friendly tho and try to work with photographer to capture an image we are both satisfied with.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
So tell us How has modeling changed your life?

C.Marie:
Modeling has changed my life because I have met a lot of different people I probably would not have met otherwise, Ive traveled to other cities done some exciting things, and I have even built a fan base which is pretty cool.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
Do you do your own hair and make-up or do you have a stylist?

C.Marie:
My hair stylist is Sherice Flowers for the most part Ive been going to her for about 4 years now and shes wonderful whatever Im looking for give her an idea and she runs with it. As far as makeup Ill either do myself or pay a makeup artist to do.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
When everything is all said and done, what would you like your fans to say about you and what you brought to the table?

C.Marie:
When all said and done I want my fans to know i am a down to earth person but to also love and appreciate my work as an art. When it comes to my runway I giggle when i hear people say she has one of the baddest walks in the city...makes me feel good.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
