First off thank you for taking time out to chat with us over at the kings aces. So let the people know your name, what you do and where you're from.

Erica Jackson:
my name Is Erica Jackson I’m a clothing designer that specializes in woman’s clothes and I am from Harlem.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
When was it that you first realized you wanted to do this profession? 

Erica Jackson:
I went to an event called fashion fights aids and after I experienced my first fashion show I said I have to do this and from that day on I taught myself how to sew and been doing it ever since.

The Kings Aces Magazine:
How long have you been doing this? 

Erica Jackson:
3 years 

The Kings Aces Magazine:
Who are your influences? 

Erica Jackson:
Coco changed, Balmain, Donatella Versace and I can go on and on but these are my tops. 

The Kings Aces Magazine:
What made you want to get into the business? 

Erica Jackson:
I just fell in love with the whole fashion world I have always loved fashion and as soon as I went to my first fashion show I knew it was for me. 

The Kings Aces Magazine:
What are you thinking about when working on a drawing or sketch for a client? Have you had any well known clients...if so name a few and who was your best client? 

Erica Jackson:
Well consider what they send me as the inspiration and my drain just starts working and I take there style and mash it up with mines and there piece is born. I love all my clients hard to say who is the best. I do have some well known clients such as Tara Wallace, Erika Deshazo, Samantha Wallace, and Bianca Bonnie all members of the hit show Love and hip hop New York. I have also been asked to design for Ceasar of black inc crew but unfortunately I don’t design for men much not my string point.

Tell us what do you think people will get out of your clothing line? 

Erica Jackson:
Well my clothing line is meant to make any and all woman feel sexy. My goal is to show all woman not matter what size they can all be a Diva and look amazing. 

 

 

The Kings Aces Magazine:
What is the most difficult thing you had to endure in life? 

Erica Jackson:
In life the most difficult thing I had to endure was losing my mother at a young age and helping my dad raise my siblings. She never got to see my daughter she never got to see how I have build my company but all I could do is hope that she sees she was one of the main reasons I worked so hard to get this far I always wanted to make her proud.

What is the most difficult thing you had to endure in the industry? 

Erica Jackson:
Getting established and respected for my work but with determination and amazing clients that have taken a chance and allowed me to show how talented I truly am I have been able to pave my way. 

The Kings Aces Magazine:
How does it feel to  finally getting your break? 

Erica Jackson:
It’s been blood sweat and tears even insane sacrifices but it feels like a blessing and I wouldn’t change one thing about any of it.

What do you hope to do with your work? 

Erica Jackson:
My hope to to grow my brand into the next Chanel, Versace, Balmain and etc. I want a show room and store fronts one day god willing. 

The Kings Aces Magazine:
If there was one thing about your career that you would change right now, what would that be? 

Erica Jackson:
Nothing at all I love what I do and I take it with the good and the bad. 

The Kings Aces Magazine:
When everything is all said and done, what would you like your fans to say about you and what you brought to the table? 

Erica Jackson:
I want my fans to say she puts her 100% into all she does and it shows because I do even if it means not sleeping to get my work done but it always gets done to my best ability.
