Trini The Model

THE KINGS ACES MAGAZINE:

first off thank you for taking time out to chat with us over at the kings aces.
Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in this career?

TRINI THE MODEL:

I wanted to start modeling because I use to watch America's next top model and for years I've noticed that most of the models doesn't look like me or anyone else I know. It was kind of hard to relate to a skinny white girl when I'm more voluptuous than them. I'm interested in modeling because I love to take pics and be in front of the camera I feel like I was destined to do this work. Modeling helps me continue to build my confidence and keep me happy the feed back I get is amazing you don't see a lot of black woman that looks like out there in this industry and if there is any they are most time never get noticed.

THE KINGS ACES MAGAZINE:
How did you get started in Modeling?

TRINI THE MODEL:

I actually started out dancing I wanted to become a dance choreographer and I still do. So when I was 13 back home in st. Martin I join my first pageant show it was called the queen show. It was something I've never done before but I love to entertain and be the center of attention. I knew I had what it takes I was confident about my walk and my smile I felt unique and one of a kind. And how I felt it show and I came out the queen of the show so ever since then I've been trying to get into more things. But then I came back to NYC and lost track of that life to the streets of NYC modeling became the back light of my life and started to take up more dance, I was able to release stress and anger with my dancing. I met a girl dancing and later on learned that she was modeling and I got excited she asked me if I wanted to go to the casting and I took her offer and went. They loved me and I started modeling in NYC at the age of 17 and I started networking doing urban shows and photo shoots and it felt amazing like the perfect glove that fits.

THE KINGS ACES MAGAZINE:

We live in a world where everything is changing and now white woman are getting hips, butts and lips to look like us but we are still not appreciated or praised for being born this way and we are still not accepted to be apart of the high fashion world. TRINI THE MODEL:

What I would like to tell other aspiring models is never let negativity and negative comments get the best of you. Don't allow others to tell you or make you feel like you don't have a chance in this field of work cause you can do anything once you believe in yourself. Follow your dreams and be the best at it yes there's a lot of us trying to do the same but all you have to do is be different and stay true to yourself.

THE KINGS ACES MAGAZINE:
How do you prepare yourself  for a modeling shoot how do you get in your zone?

TRINI THE MODEL:

I sit and talk to myself I tell myself I can do it and if I can't who will don't sit around and let another day go by without giving yourself the best of you. I take deep breaths because yes I still get nervous but once the camera starts roll it's like I never stopped working. Always compliment myself and say yes Trini you did that.

TRINI THE MODEL:

No I have no stylist I need one I normally would just go to a salon get it done and apply my own makeup.
